About snapr

snapr turns the extra food kitchens have at closing time into bags. A kitchen lists a bag, you reserve it in the app, and you collect it or a snapr rider brings it.

snapr is a product of Shorai Tech Private Limited, based in Bengaluru. We launch in Bengaluru on Saturday 21 November 2026.

Why we started snapr

I grew up in South Africa. Ten months ago I moved to India for the first time to build something.

I'm Ajay, a software engineer. I noticed good food going unsold at closing time while people nearby would happily eat it.

I started in Koramangala with a WhatsApp group. We sold 80 bags that way. People kept coming back, so I built the first version of snapr myself.
